Remember Ryan Bacalla, dubbed “the kid sunshine of Cebu”. He was a housemate of the highly popular and well-loved reality serye show titled PBB.
Since 2005 the show has served as a Launchpad for the career of a lot of actors and actresses, the show gives opportunities to ordinary Filipinos to be featured on Philippine television while staying at the house of Big Brother, a great and a once in a lifetime experience for many, and each year the show draws masses of PBB aspirants.
In the PBB 737 edition back in 2015 a young boy named Ryan James Bacalla entered the house. Before entering the house of Big Brother, Ryan James Bacalla had an interview with talk show hosts Boy Abunda and Kris Aquino.
In the said interview he revealed one of the main reasons why he joined PBB was to proudly represent the gay members of the LGBT community and to avert the bullying and discrimination of young LGBT members, an experience he himself underwent.
Well after 3 years it seems that everything’s going smoothly for him, now he’s able to showcase his true gender identity. Photos of the ex-PBB housemate’s transformation were showcased in a Facebook post documenting the shift from a cheerful boy to a blooming feminine beauty.
Netizens expressed their support and sang praise to Ryan for courageously coming out of the public. The photos of the former PBB housemate documenting his gorgeous physical transformation has gone viral on Facebook with over 24,000 reactions and 49,000 shares, as of writing.
The transformation photos were shared by Facebook user Armson last Wednesday, October 31. Bacalla, overwhelmed from the support received from the netizens and members of the LGBT community, expressed gratitude through a comment on Armson’s post, in the said comment the former Reality TV Star expressed gratitude for the sudden fame on the social network.
Ryan wrote, “OMG! Hi guys! Nagising ako sa sobrang ingay ng phone ko andami ko na pala notifs. Thank you for this hihi I did not expect this at all.” Ryan James is now pursuing his studies in his hometown, studying at the Southwestern University in Cebu.
